What should I plant as a privacy screen over 10 feet tall along a busy road? There will be salt thrown up. I live in Minnesota.

Evergreens are a good choice to provide a year-round privacy screen, but most are sensitive to salt damage. Black Hills spruce and Swiss stone pine might be suitable because they are relatively salt-tolerant. If deciduous trees and shrubs are acceptable, consider burning bush (Euonymus alatus), Russian peashrub (Caragana frutex), Russian olive (Elaeagnus angustifolia) and common mulberry (Morus alba tatarica).
