Assuming that you are already enrolled, your first stop should be the financial aid office at your college or university. They will have the most up-to-date information on financing available through the college/university and the federal government in the form of grants, loans, and work study programs. They will also have information on available scholarships. If you have not already done so, you will need to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You should submit the FAFSA for each year you are in college. Your school will then determine your eligibility for financial aid. It is easiest to complete the FAFSA early in the year when you and your parents are completing your income tax returns.
