Why should my community get youth involved in entrepreneurship activities and opportunities?

Many communities are interested in creating a local economy that will provide for future generations. Helping young people see they can create their future through entrepreneurial ventures is one way to accomplish this.

Additionally, young people will gain important skills and be exposed to expanded career and educational opportunities when learning about entrepreneurship. Student success may be improved with exposure to entrepreneurial training.

The development of youth talent can be enhanced by developing entrepreneurial interests and skills. Research results indicate that youth increase their willingness to take personal responsibility and experience an increase in earning power. Additionally, students demonstrate an increase in development of social skills, improved grades, and participation in school-related activities.
