What kind of payment policies do I need to have for parents enrolling their child in my child care program?

In designing payment policies, remember that the following are good ideas to include: • Payment due date: - Include whether payments should be made weekly, monthly, or quarterly. • Late payment policy/overdraft policy: - Include the consequences of what happens when tuition is late or if a check bounces. • Tuition increase notification: - Include notification of tuition increases and how you will give notice. • Vacation payment policy: - Include whether or not you require payment even when a child does not attend and how you handle personal holidays. • Leaving child care: - Include the notification period you require (for example, two weeks or 30 days) for parents taking their children out of your care.
