How deep should I plant soybeans?

Plant soybeans 1 to 1.5 inches, not deeper than 2 inches.

If possible, plant soybeans into moisture, as long as it is not deeper than 2 inches. Soybeans should be covered by soil.

Upper Midwest:
Where soil conditions are cold, err on the shallow side as long as the seed is covered by soil and there is good seed-to-soil contact.
