If I buy a calf from an auction, what suggestions do you have in preventing scours and other problems?

Check with your local veterinarian. Some individuals will develop an injection of antibiotics and vaccine to protect the calf. Buying from a sale barn is risky with plenty of exposure to disease. We recommend going to the dairy farm directly.
