I've been having runny noses and ear dropping making its way through the baby calves. I've been told to give a series of antibiotics (such as Amoxicillin and Excenel), which do eventually work after a week of doses. But I was wondering if there is a product for the calves like Vick's Vapor Rub or the Vapo Steam. I know it sounds strange, but I think they would get better faster and be more comfortable if we could get their heads cleared out.

We am not aware of any veterinarian or researcher indicating that human decongesting agents will affect a calf. It is not a recommended practice, but it should not harm the calf or lead to meat residue problem. If you try it, let us know.

Not aware of any thing of its kind or homeopathic approaches. Check the environmental air quality. Do you smell ammonia? How clean are the premises the calf is introduced to? If you try it, keep notes on the calf and the environment and share your observations.
