Can Neomycin-Terramycin in milk replacer help prevent unknown respiratory diseases in calves?

Antibiotics can be effective to prevent some respiratory diseases and improve growth and performance. These antibiotics are commonly found in many high quality milk replacers. The other common compound is Deccox for cocci control (protozoa). Only one of these combinations can be used. Thus, if you have respiratory problems, the neomycin-terramycin the right choice. But this may not eliminate the problem as the dosage is not at treatment level. Check with your local veterinarian to determine the best strategy.
