When feeding roasted soybeans, how much (if any) can I expect to find passing through into the manure? At what point would it also justify grinding or rolling the beans prior to feeding?

Great question. Less than 5 percent of the whole beans should pass through in the manure. Cracking soybeans into four to eight pieces will increase digestibility. The coarser the better, as fine processing reduces undegrabability. If we see whole or half beans in the manure, no feed value has been derived. Roasting makes the bean hard and less soluble for digestion.
