There are entrepreneurs in business, civic organizations, and government. What they all have in common are some of the following traits: they're innovative, creative, flexible, energetic, and risk takers. They learn from mistakes and generally seek significant results. Your town's trustee may be an entrepreneur in the way she approaches handling a public service; the Red Cross chapter's executive director may be very entrepreneurial in the way funds are raised; and the young college graduate who returned to town to start up a computer systems business serving a worldwide market may be the quintessential business entrepreneur.
