It would be very rare to have high nitrate in wheat pasture. Nitrate is a salt-like compound; therefore, frost, storage time, etc. will not break down the compound, so the level of nitrate would be the same regardless of frost. If in doubt, send a sample of the forage to an analytical laboratory for nitrate analysis.
