What diseases of poultry are reportable?

According to the USDA’s National Animal Health Reporting System (www.aphis.usda.gov/vs/nahss/disease_status.htm#avian)the following poultry diseases are reportable to state and/or federal animal health authorities. Individual states may require additional diseases to be reported and additional diseases may be added to this list at any time.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza
Low pathogenic avian influenza (H5 or H7 subtypes)
Newcastle disease (Exotic)
Avian infectious bronchitis
Avian infectious laryngotracheitis
Duck viral hepatitis
Fowl cholera (Pasteurella multocida)
Fowl typhoid (Salmonella gallinarum)
Infectious bursal disease (Gumboro disease)
Marek's Disease
Mycoplasmosis (M. gallisepticum)
Avian chlamydiosis (psittacosis and ornithosis, Chlamydia psittaci)
Pullorum disease (Salmonella pullorum)
Turkey rhinotracheitis
Mycoplasmosis (M. synoviae)
