How do I kill rats or mice that are living in the wall of my apartment?

You must first identify if you have an active rodent infestation.

Look for these clues:

  • Droppings
  • Rub marks (appear greasy, and will be along baseboards where the rodent is traveling)
  • Gnawing marks (appear as two grooves because of the rodents two front teeth)

If you find evidence of rodents, contact your apartment manager. Your apartment manager by law must take care of this problem. If they refuse to assist you, contact your state health department for ways to help you eliminate this infestation.
