Many vaccines are approved for use on organically certified animals. Vaccination can be an important part of preventing, rather than treating, disease. Some producers object to the use of vaccines because they artificially stimulate the animal’s immune system.
A good vaccination program should be developed after talking with your veterinarian about disease in the area and the effectiveness of each vaccine. Check with your certifier about the vaccines you intend to use in your plan.
