My family travels often, and we like to use antibacterial gels to keep our hands sanitized. Are these products effective?

Yes, you can use disposable wipes or a hand gel sanitizer without water. The alcohol in the gel kills the germs on your hands. However, it is usually not as effective as proper hand washing. Hand sanitizers should be used when hand washing facilities are unavailable or as an extra precaution after hand washing.
