Example of survival times (days) of various pathogens in water that is frozen, cold (5 degrees F), and warm (30 degrees F):

Giardia: Frozen 84 d, Cold >84 d, Warm 70 d
Salmonella: Frozen >182 d, Cold >182 d, Warm 45-152 d
Campylobacter: Frozen 14-56 d, Cold 8-120 d, Warm >2 d
E. coli O157:H7: Frozen >300, Cold >91d, Warm 49-84 d
Yersinia entercoliticia: Frozen >365 d, Cold >365 d, Warm 10 d
