Most of my flowers, but mainly my hydrangeas, have incredible huge leaves but barely any flowers. What can I do to get flowers and less leaves?

You didn't mention what type of hydrangeas you are growing, not what type of flowers. Since you are having problems with both flowers and hydrangeas, my first though would be that they are in too much shade. The second thought is not enough water. My third thought is if you are fertilizing maybe too much nitrogen so you are getting green leafy growth at the expense of flowering. Most hydrangeas grown in MN bloom on new wood. This means the wood or stems that have grown in the current growing season. Generally speaking the best time to prune hydrangeas in MN is in the spring. If you know the type of hydrangea or type of flowers you are asking about, please write back with specifics. Other information that would be helpful is type of soil, watering/fertilizing practices, past performance of the plants in question, and sun exposure.
