Is it true that a heifer born twin to a bull calf is sterile?

A heifer that is born twin to a bull is called a free-martin, and there is approximately a 90% chance that she will be infertile. This is caused by the shared blood supply between the male fetus and female fetus in the uterus, causing the female to be exposed to several hormones produced by the male, thus inhibiting her reproductive organs from fully developing.
