I have discovered what I believe to be bahia grass in my South Carolina lawn. I want to know how to control this grass. At this time I have removed what I can see by hand.

Bahia grass may be maintained as an acceptable low-maintenance turfgrass, so consider leaving it in your lawn. There are various herbicides listed for bahia grass control in South Carolina, but the proper selection is based on the kind of turfgrass and other factors. To be sure of the identification and proper herbicide selection, take a grass sample to your local Extension office. Check this Web site to locate your county office: County Offices.
