Hummingbirds will migrate whether or not there is food at your house. Day length is a primary factor in ending them south. So don't feel guilty that you are keeping them from their trip. They probably would "appreciate" that last minute energy boost before they go, so keep out your hummingbird feeders until they disappear from your yard.
