How do I tell if my beef calf is bloated?

If you are looking into the eyes of the calf, the calf's left side is your right-hand side. If you stand behind the calf looking at its rear end with the calf's head facing forward, the calf's left side is the same as your left side. If the left side of the calf, before the calf’s hip bone, is distended, then the calf is likely bloated.
