Is there any risk of moving cows 10 miles in a trailer within a month of calving?

No, but it is important that they be handled with care. Make sure that the pregnant cows are not worked at a fast pace and that the alleyways and loading areas have good footing so that they do not slip and fall. Also, do not pack the cows too tightly in the trailer. Make sure that the loading area gates are opened as wide as possible, and do not rush cows through these openings.
