How do you determine the amount of natural protein in a supplement?

This can be determined by subtracting the percentage of protein equivalent from non-protein nitrogen (NPN) sources from the total percentage of crude protein listed on the feed tag. The difference will give you the amount of natural protein.

Example (from feed tag)
Crude Protein (not less than) 30%
Protein Equivalent from NPN (not more than) -20%
Amount of Natural Protein = 10%
