If you have multiple horses experiencing the same symptoms, it is very likely that it is something they are eating, either a feed or something in their environment. Certain plants (hays) contain seed awns or have sharp leaf edges that can be irritating to the mouth. Make sure that you are not feeding one of these types of hays (i.e., foxtail). Also, have the horses been eating any of the stabling/fencing? Have any chemicals/anti-chew compounds been used in their area? If your horses are still expressing symptoms, consult your veterinarian.
