What is a deposit slip?

A deposit slip is an acknowledgment of the amount deposited by a consumer (account holder) in an account at a financial institution (e.g., bank and credit union). It lists the type of deposit (i.e., checks, cash), the amount of each type of deposit, and the total amount of the deposit.
