Flooding may create electrical, structural and infrastructure hazards. Generally, officials will assess the situation and determine the safety of the area before allowing residents to return. In areas where officials are not assessing the safety of the area, it is best to have someone competent in electrical and structural safety assist with making an assessment of if it is safe to return.
