The most important product derived from cotton is the fiber or lint. After the fiber is separated from the seed in the ginning process, it is baled, cleaned, combed and carded, and made into yarn in the spinning process. The yarn is then made into cloth for cutting and assembly into final products. Dying cotton into the desired color can occur as yarn or as cloth, according to the need.
