The recommended pasture grass in most of Florida is Pensacola bahia. If you are asking about planting something for supplemental/seasonal grazing, then ryegrass, rye, oats, or a combination of these grasses/grains will work. If you choose to plant clovers, you need to visit with your local Cooperative Extension agent to see what works best in your locale and with your soil type. Crimson or some of the white clovers would be best, but you need to match them to your soils as to moisture and soil percolation ability. Dwarf pearl millet is also recommended for warm-weather supplemental grazing.
