Fecal droppings, tracks, burrows, pathways, and fresh gnawings including damaged feed sacks indicate areas where rodents are active. Peculiar odors are also associated with rodent infestations. Rodents tend to run along the same pathways in and around the structures they infest as they come and go. These pathways often run along walls and can leave marks where they have continually rubbed against the walls, creating a visible trail.
