Grasshoppers face a host of predators including birds, rodents, spiders, skunks, several species of flies and horsehair worms--all that feed on grasshoppers. Horsehair worms live inside the grasshopper and cause sterility in the females as they feed on their living host. For additional information see the PlantTalk script, Grasshoppers.
