How do I determine the amount of fertilizer to apply to my fruit trees?

Phosphorus and potassium need to be applied based on a soil test report. Nitrogen can be applied based on whether the tree is bearing fruit or is a non-bearing tree, and the amount of last year's terminal shoot growth.
