You’re among many who have discovered the intrigue of ornamental grasses in the landscape. Due to demand, many nurseries are carrying a wider selection. For hot, dry spots, try blue grama: the state grass of Colorado, or sideoats grama. For areas with a little more moisture available, try blue avena grass, feather reed grass, blue fescue or northern sea oats. For some photographs and more information, refer to a fact sheet from CSU Cooperative Extension. # 7.232 is entitled “Ornamental Grasses”.
