Many disease problems can be prevented or controlled without the use of pesticides (organic management). An important component of this is the use plants that are adapted to Colorado's growing conditions. This will help limit the number of  hosts that provide habitat for disease life cycles. For more information, see Colorado State University Cooperative Extension Fact Sheet no. 2.903 titled Nonchemical Disease Control.
