The backbone of any integrated pest control program (organic) must always include cultural and sanitation practices, two important components of non-chemical disease control.  Your organic gardening tools include:

  • Exclusion
  • Resistance
  • Eradication:  sanitation, crop rotation, soil sanitation treatments
  • Good Cultural Practices

For details on each of these techniques, please see the fact sheet Non-chemical Disease Control and visit the eXtension site Organic Gardening Resources.
