What is a recommended way to control a severe infestation of cutworms in a vegetable garden? I live in Colorado.

The best way to control cutworms is to apply collars around seedlings to prevent damage while the insect is still in its caterpillar stage. Cutworm larvae should not be a problem past springtime when they pupate into adults and look for cooler areas in the mountains.
