While we have no specifics for different parts of the Denver Metro area, the growing season is around 155 days from May 10 to Oct. 5. Please remember that the date of the last spring frost and first fall frost vary widely around the average in a high altitude, semiarid climate like Denver's. In some years the last spring frost can be in early April or as late as the end of May. The same variability is true with the date of the first fall freeze.
