Animal waste management funding assistance for producers is available from a variety of sources. One of the best sources of federal funds is the USDA-NRCS (United States Department of Agriculture - Natural Resources Conservation Service). Many of the NRCS programs that assist producers are described at eXtension NRCS site. In addition, federal or state funding may be available from your State environmental agency or through your local soil and water conservation district. Consult the white pages in your telephone book for local contact information. Private funding may be available from Market Based Conservation Efforts.
