Our prairie grass received 1.6 inches of rain over a three-day period. Will the protein value hold up when it is finally baled? Will be be okay for horses?

Rained-on hay can have reduced nutritional value, especially a reduction in the amount of vitamins and minerals. However, with prairie grass, the reduction of value may be slight. The largest concern is moisture content at time of baling as wet hay will be likely to mold.
