One great way is to plan the menu ahead for the week. Try to let the children help plan the meals. Once all meals have been planned, make a grocery list. Making a grocery list helps you not to buy unnecessary items. Planning ahead ensures that all the ingredients are on hand and the meals are more balanced. Another way to have time for family meals is to make casseroles and other items ahead of time and freeze them. A recipe for chicken spaghetti makes enough to have for two meals. Soup is another great item that is prepared in large quantities and freezes well. Planning is the key to having more family meals together.
