Frying foods drastically increases the calories a food contains. Frying should be a cooking method that you use only once in a while. When you do fry, peanut oil is a good choice because it does well at high temperatures (395 degrees or higher). Olive oil cannot be used for frying because it will begin to smoke and burn before it reaches frying temperature.
