Is there any such thing as a “fat burning” exercise?

Yes. Aerobic exercises such as walking, running, or swimming are great for burning fat. When exercising for longer periods of time (30 to 90 minutes) at a minimum of moderate intensity, the body relies more on fat to provide the energy needed. Walking or running are great fat-burning exercises and don't require special equipment. Also, remember that you need to do a variety of different activities to be fit. A "fat-burning" exercise routine is best achieved when you combine strength training (weight lifting, using stretch bands, etc.) and aerobic exercise.
