What is the best practice for my preschooler: turn TV off during meals or remove TV from his bedroom?

It would be a good practice for the TV to be removed from all bedrooms, not just your preschooler's. The bedroom is for sleeping. Television viewing should be reserved for a family room, den, or other common room of the house to control what is being viewed by all family members.

TV viewing should also be limited during mealtime. Family meals are very important for connecting with family members, and conversation is limited when the TV is on while eating meals.

Television can be a fun and educational activity that can be shared as a family; just use it in moderation, and don’t keep it on all day.
