I live in the southeastern region of the United States (Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida), what kind of cockroaches live in my region?

As far as big cockroaches go, there are two main pest species: Smokey brown cockroaches, and American cockroaches. There are really no big problems with medium size cockroaches. There are two main pest species of small cockroaches: German cockroaches, and Asian cockroaches. Note: Asian and German cockroaches look nearly identical and their control measures are basically the same.

Although there are other species of cockroaches in this region, most of them do not cause pest problems.
