I am interested in adopting a kid-broke, gentle, rescued mare. It doesn't make any difference whether the horse has papers or not. I am interested in making sure a horse that was intended for rescue has a good home. Are there facilities that house such horses?

There are many centers and farms that rescue horses for various reasons. Some of those rescue centers retrain the horses to perform in different events. Below are some centers you can contact to see if they have a horse suitable for your purposes.
