I'm looking for a horse wash stall drain with a removable strainer. We seem to clog the drain with hay, dirt, and manure often. We have seen a strainer/cartridge in barn wash stalls. Any idea on where we can find them?

Many different drain and filter designs are used in housing systems of other livestock such as swine facilities that you may find adaptable. Most will have a small basket strainer that is positioned under the grate to catch the larger particles of refuse. From that point, depending on the degree of need, there may be additional baskets or strainers in alignment with a trough drain system prior to waste moving to a pooling area. Search for drainage options in other livestock operations to see if there are some you may adapt to your specific need.
