CFM refers to Cubic Feet per Minute. It is a measure of air flow (air volume and velocity) through a home ventilation system (heating, cooling, air) or room. Among many useful applications, CFM is used to determine the sizes of ductwork in a home, and the amount of fresh air that is required in a home to replace stale air.
