Do I need to own stocks to apply for a credit card?

A share of stock means that you have a share of ownership in a corporation (company). Investing in stocks is not required to apply for a credit card.

Credit cards are issued to users based on a person’s credit report and credit history. The better your credit report, the more likely you are able to receive a credit card.

Here are some ways to improve your ability to receive credit:
• Pay your bills on time.
• Use only a few credit accounts.
• Correct inaccurate information in your credit file.
• Have credit in your name.
• Have a job for six to 12 months.
• Don’t move frequently.
