No, you should not use your oven to heat your home.

This practice can be very dangerous, and is a very inefficient way to try to add heat to your home. If you need additional heat in your home, consider buying a small space heater and using it in the room you are occupying.

Avoid the 'miracle' type space heaters since their advertising claims are often over exaggerated, and they do not heat a space any more efficiently than significantly less expensive models.

Never use unvented space heaters to heat a home.

Try to prevent the home from getting cold by air sealing cracks with caulk, adding rolled up rugs or towels against leaky doors, adding rugs to your floors, and/or sealing windows with inexpensive window films. Dressing in layers will help you feel more comfortable in cold weather.
