I use fans to circulate the air in my house during summer. Is this using less energy than if I was just running the air conditioner?

Fans help people feel cooler, so using fans in occupied rooms can keep people comfortable when the thermostat is set higher. Raising the thermostat temperature and using a fan in an occupied room will save energy and money on cooling costs. Be sure to turn off the fan when leaving a room.
