During a wildfire, the type, amount, and arrangement of vegetation is critical to the survivability of your home. Poorly maintained vegetation, dry and dead plant material, and plants with volatile chemicals can be easily ignited by embers or flames. Nearby burning vegetation can ignite combustible siding, break the glass in your windows, or ignite your decking. All of these scenarios can result in the destruction of your home.
